Non-Dutch cheese

The Netherlands is known as a real Kaasland. Yet there are many Cheese- delights outside the Netherlands that set an absolute tone on a cheese board, in a dish or on a cracker. From popular to unique: we are at home in all (cheese) markets.

French cheeses

De cream brie – or camembert – is a popular cheese from France, but there are also other beautiful cheeses from France. To stay in the camembert mood, we introduce the Camembert Calvados – a delicious raw cow's milk camembert – and the Chevre Florette – a mild but very tasty goat brie. Also the Brie de meaux is a traditional variant of the well-known cream brie due to its spicy & robust taste.

Also historical highlights such as the Munster, County of Epoisses Berthaut Coupe can be found with us. These age-old cheeses remain a delight in the 21st century due to their refined taste.

Classic blue cheeses such as Blue Auvergne of Roquefort Papillon of Saint-Agur prove time and time again that “The stinkier the cheese, the better the taste” is indeed true. The Roche Baron adds a little extra with a layer of edible ashes. In short: each and every one of them unique cheeses from the top (cheese) shelf. You can also find this layer of ash in the well-known Morbiercheese.

On the other hand you will of course find the milder variants. The cheeses Fromage des Chaumes and the Marcaire have a delicious creamy taste. For a nut lover, the St. Julien Nut Mix perfect: delicious creamy cheese that goes perfectly with a delicious nut mix.

Belgian cheeses

Our Zuidneighbors are not even that crazy when it comes to cheeses. Especially the goat cheese Chevre Buche offers delicious variants: matured, fresh and honey. For someone who likes an edge, the Merlin Chevre a fantastic addition to the cheese board.
They also know how to make delicious cow's milk cheeses. The Trappist cheese Chimay Poteaupre, made in Scourmont Abbey, tastes great with a Belgian Trappist beer. Bruges Flower is a Flemish, creamy cheese that is delicious on a baguette or as a layer over grilled oysters. For Belgian on a bammetje you are at the abbey cheese St. Bernard at the right place.

Italian cheeses

Italy is known for its refined fashion taste, but they also have a passion for cheese. When you say pasta, you often say Parmesan. Our robust & spicy Parmigiano Reggiano is the Parmesan as the Parmesan should be. Delicious in pasta, but also with a bottle of strong wine, just like the ones washed in seawater Pecorino Romano.
The Italians can also build delicious salads with them mozzarella cheese – or even creamier with the burrata. Spicy salad fans can go with one Gorgonzola piccante definitely come home.

For a processed cheese, the Taleggio is fantastic. Or this soft cheese now Mont Mas of Truffle is: these are the most delicious processed cheeses.

Do you want something really unique? Attempted BLU'61. The appearance alone makes this cheese an eye-catcher, but this blue cheese with candied cranberries is truly unique due to its spicy/sweet combination.
