What is vinegar?

Vinegar is made in a special way. It includes alcohol, such as wine or apple cider. A little acetic acid is added to these alcoholic drinks so that the alcohol is converted into vinegar. This is also how it gets its characteristic sour taste. The vinegar that you can use for consumption is also called natural vinegar. Our vinegar is also made in a natural way.

How long does vinegar last?

It has a very long shelf life. Just think of balsamic vinegar: there are varieties that are over 100 years old. Of course it depends on the species. So you can leave it alone for a while. We recommend that you store this in a cooler, dry and dark place. This way you are guaranteed to enjoy it for a long time. In addition, it does not have a specific expiration date, as it is considered a preservative due to its acidic properties.

Vinegar with figs and dates

We have fig date vinegar in our range. The combination of figs and dates gives you a light freshness along with a sweet undertone. This also makes it look more like a balsamic vinegar. How is vinegar made

The process starts with fermenting alcohol, where the alcohol is converted into acetic acid. This process happens in a few weeks to months. In the meantime, the acidity is carefully monitored and stopped as soon as the desired level is reached. After this has happened, it will be filtered to remove any residues.
