Blue Cheese Burger

Blue Cheese Burger

Ingredients

  • 4 citizens
  • 400 grams Gorgonzola Dolce
  • 4 tsp. mayonnaise
  • Salt pepper
  • Olive oil
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • Sla
  • tomatoes

Gorgonzola is something that has been known & loved for millennia. The blue cheese from Italy is one of the most popular cheeses for a rich pasta. The fun part is that blue cheese was discovered by accident. In the Middle Ages, cheese was stored & matured in caves that were very attractive to various fungi. The villagers were amazed that, firstly, the blue cheese had not broken down, and secondly, it also gives an extra kick to the taste buds.

  1. Prepare the grill
  2. Pre-grease the buns with butter and let them grill for 1 minute. This gives the sandwiches a nice toasted effect with a slightly crunchy bite.
  3. Add salt & pepper to taste on the burgers.
  4. Grill the burgers for 4 minutes without a lid
  5. Turn the burger over and divide the Gorgonzola among the burgers
  6. Put the lid on the burgers and let them cook for another 3 minutes for a medium-rare effect
  7. Then let the burgers rest for 5 minutes
  8. Put 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on the buns
  9. Serve the burgers on the buns and finish with lettuce & tomatoes
    This seasoning does not need many toppings because of the strong taste of the cheese. If you still want to give something extra, caramelized onions or bacon are a good addition.

PS: You can of course also make this recipe on the stove. A grill gives it the authentic taste, but on top of any fire, this is a blast.
