A French Pinot Noir with a light ruby red color. The red wine has aromas of red cherries, raspberries and a light touch of vanilla. It also contains fresh acids and notes of red fruit and spices. Excellent with: Charcuterie, light cheeses and chicken. The wines of Maison Centaurée are made by Laurent and Catherine Delaunay. The vineyards are located between Narbonne and Carcasonne in the Languedoc. The soils on which the vines grow are rich in clay and limestone. Due to the manual picking in the early morning, the grapes remain in good quality, in combination with 10-15 year old vines, this results in a wine with a good price-quality ratio. Pinot Noir is a grape variety with a thin skin, which means that less pigment is added to the juice during the skin maceration. This Pinot Noir is therefore also very suitable for serving slightly chilled.
I rely on online orders. They are always beautifully presented. A quick note: I order the letterbox packages for myself (a widow) or other single people. They contain a few treats in larger quantities. That is too much for one person. So I would very much appreciate smaller portions if possible.
