At Zuivelhoeve you can go for a cheese plate with the tastiest cheeses. Delicious for a drink or as a dessert. With a wide range of Dutch and foreign cheeses you always succeed with us. We also have delicious dips, olives and freshly roasted nuts to complete your cheese platter.

Which cheeses do you choose?

When putting together a cheese platter, you prefer to choose cheeses from different families. There are 5 different families: hard and semi-hard cheeses, white mold cheeses, red and washed rind cheeses, goat and sheep cheeses and blue mold cheeses. Which types you choose depends on taste and the experience of the cheese tasters. For example, for a beginner, choose some mild cheeses. You need four to five cheeses for a good cheese board; choose at least one mild cheese, one semi-spicy cheese and one spicy cheese.

At the Zuivelhoeve we know that there are limitless combinations in the cheese world: literally and figuratively. The Netherlands is known for its traditional cheese, which makes Dutch cheese indispensable in our store. On a cheese plate we push the limits a bit more. With traditional cheeses from France, Italy and Spain, among others, we know how to bring the taste of other countries to your cheese plate.

Serve cheese board

For the best taste experience, serve your Klaas platter at room temperature. Preferably use a wooden board and arrange the cheeses to taste, from mild to spicy. Make sure the cheeses don't touch each other to avoid an overflow of flavours. Serve a matching white or red wine with your cheese plate and enjoy.
