Types of goat cheese

Goat cheese does not differ much in terms of preparation method from cheese made from cow's milk. In addition to this similarity, there are a few more points of comparison. There are also many different types and flavors. We have listed our favorites for you:

Preparation method

There is certainly a difference between cheese made from goat's milk and cheese made from cow's milk. The most important element in this area is the ripening process. The cheese tastes like old cheese after four weeks of ripening. Young goat cheese is therefore matured for a shorter time than young cheese made from cow's milk. The larger the cheese, the slower the ripening process.

Goat cheese fits well within a responsible diet. It contains vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, B11 and D. Important nutrients such as calcium, potassium and phosphorus are also naturally present. There are also fewer fat balls in goat's milk.
